Jennifer Melville - Lead Teacher/Advisor
Jennifer goes by Jen. From a very early age, Jen knew she wanted to work with young adults. She really enjoys helping students find what they are passionate about and excel at. “There is no greater feeling than helping young adults reach their goals both professionally and personally.” Jen’s most rewarding experience as a teacher was working with students in a Project-Based Learning setting when they were able to take their own learning to a whole new level because of the connections they were making to their own lives.
Jen graduated from UW-La Crosse in 2003 with a degree in Broadfield Social Studies and began teaching right away at Kaukauna High School. She graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2010 with a Masters in the Teaching of History, and received her Alternative Education License from Concordia University. The first seven years of her teaching career were spent at Kaukauna High School. While at Kaukauna High School Jen coached softball and volleyball, she also served as an advisor to the Student Council and Link Crew.
She was raised on a farm in Vesper, Wisconsin. Jen is the oldest of three children. She is a proud graduate of Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. She is married and has a young child in the Kimberly Area School District. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves to travel and has been to Italy, Greece, China, Peru, and Europe. She will continue to organize and lead international trips with Kornerstone School students.
