Kornerstone is a constructivist school. The school uses the advisory model to build community, relationships between students and adults, and as the basis for an individualized approach to learning.
PBL is a learning system that has been around for a long time. In fact, many teachers in the Kimberly Area School District are doing parts of PBL in their classroom. PBL places emphasis on the process of learning.
Kornerstone School has a small school environment. Because of this students bond in a way that isn't always possible in larger schools. The relationships between students is similar to that of a family.
